Flying Dog's (Frederick, MD) Dead Rise, has finally found its way to Pennsylvania's beer retailers.

Personally spotted this week at Shangy's Beer Heaven in Emmaus for cases, as well as Wegmans in Allentown for your six pack enjoyment.

This 5.6% brew screams summertime at the beach. The aroma is spicy, but in a good way. The taste has a bit of saltiness to it up front, but the finish just makes you want some crabs... The seafood type that is!

Get it while you can! Word is, its flying off the shelf everywhere else!

North Country Brewing Company's (Slippery Rock, PA) Station 33 Firehouse Red, Paleo IPA, Buck Snort Stout and Slimy Pebble Pilsner are finally being distributed throughout Pennsylvania, and are highly recommended by us.

Check out Shangy's in Emmaus for case variety packs, as well as regular cases of your favorite kind. Or for those six pack seekers, Abe's in Bethlehem and Wegmans in Allentown are carrying them as well.

It should be mentioned these beers are fantastic, but if you are ever in the Slippery Rock area, stop in for a bite to eat. We have yet to find anything on the menu that we can't rave about, literally. Especially the Smoked Pork BBQ with their slaw....... I think another road trip is needed...

Come out and meet the Beer Nutz!! August 23rd, make your way to Allentown Brew Works on Hamilton St and try some 50+ homebrews. To sweeten the deal, your vote counts! Help pick LVBW 3 which will go on tap around the Lehigh Valley to celebrate Lehigh Valley Beer Week (an amazing time in itself.)

The BeerNutz will be onsite with two delicious brews for you to try, and we hope to get your vote ;-). Our citrusy IPA and our fruit wheat beer will be pouring so be sure to swing by and say hello!

Last year, the team sampled and voted, and let me tell you, it was great time! You will not be disappointed with the variety and crazy things people are willing to try!

It is just a few days from the kickoff of the annual Susquehanna Ale Trail. A two weekend event taking place April 4-6 and 11-13, that culminates (almost) everything that the Central Pennsylvania beer scene has to offer.  The Ale Trail covers the mid state and features some of the areas prominent breweries and brew pubs. For $15 you get a passport (available at all the stops) giving you access to nine breweries and brewpubs. At each stop guests are treated to a light snack and several samples. During each visit of the trail you will learn about each breweries styles and techniques and you may even get a chance to talk with some brewing experts. For $15, it is a no brainer. Get out there and hit the trail!

For more information visit the Susquehanna Ale Trail Website.

The Beer Nutz will be hitting the trail starting Friday April 4th. We hope to see you around.

Passport Event Hours:
